Amino bag Trick…
It was one of the biggest shows of the year Visma Rotterdam! And my English friends decide to come visit us for one weeks fishing, oh no! Well thankfully it worked out ok, they came just before the show started and we managed to fish three lakes and test the new baits. First lake was in Utrecht, average sized water holding some nice commons, depths were very deep and only real features were the drop offs both margins and the far bank reeds.

Due to the time of the year and the water temperature being very low, we all decided single hook baits and high attraction pva bags with pellets and method mixes were the plan of attack. My far margin rod was fished with a 3oz lead, leadcore with Korda clip and the new adjustable popup rig from Ocean Fresh Carp Rig range. I placed a Red Shrimp & Garlic 20mm popup into a ESP PVA bag, then I added OF Method & Pellet Mix (DRY), with high attracting bloodworm, shrimp and soluble fish proteins. I poured the Amino Liquid Amino Food Oily Crab straight into the bag. Only oil based liquids can be used in PVA, this will not melt the pva and give you longer time for breakdown beneath the water.

The New Ocean Fresh Amino has all the fish stimulants and attractants mixed together to offer a one stop solution of high protein attraction around your hook bait. Ideal for single pva bag fishing, or to soak the hook bait when fishing with feed. The carp home into the glugged bait which is constantly releasing oil based attraction which rises to the waters surface. You can also use this product as the complete Liquid Food Amino for any fishmeal boilie recipe. Just add 25-50ml per kilo base mix, if you want the Ocean Fresh smell like the one we make in the conservation free shelf-life boilie.

To make these PVA bags you need the following:- Ocean Fresh boilies/popups
Ocean Fresh Amino Liquid Food Oily Crab
Method/Pellet Mix with Bloodworm & Shrimp
ESP PVA Bag SystemThe only take from this session came at 9.30am on Sunday, it came to the pva bag rod fished on the far margin. The run was slow, due to being caught at over 100m away. When the fish was in our sight it was already tired and ready for netting.

My first fish of the season a lovely Common of 15.5kg, shame about the picture quality, next on the shopping list was a new digital! Within the same week, my Dutch Field tester Marcel Sannes also caught a 15kg Carp on his hard water using the Amino bag trick. Two 30's in one week from two different waters using the same winning method!!

That same day we moved to a small lake and river system in Amsterdam, using the same method I caught another 3 carps on the same popup and adjustable popup rig. A Mirror of 15lb and 2 commons of 12lb. The final take turned into a hook pull and the fish was lost. I checked my hook only to find it blunt and now it was ready for the trash bag!
