RSG at Yateley South Lake & Fernace

The first time I use bait from ocean fresh it was the Red Shrimp and Garlic and I was fishing at Yateley south lake. It was the first time I had fished the lake since all the work had been done to clear it. I must admit it did look good, I arrived at the lake on the Monday and found all the fish to be in one corner of the lake and I was only doing 24 hours so I set up in a swim called the garden gate, I had a corner that no one could fish but me and I had an island in front of me the only thing was the weed but I don't mind fishing in weed, so I set up and decided to fish chod rigs so that the bait would sit on the weed and dropping them from a boat they sit perfect I had my first run about 6.30pm and it was a mirror weighing in at 20lb 3oz

Then the lake went quiet till 4am when it went mad and I had 7 fish over the next 3 hours and no sleep then like ghosts they left again so to round up my first session it was great and I can’t wait to get out again.

A few weeks later I visited Fernace lake and caught this 18lb 2oz common again on the RSG.

Hope to get amongst the larger residents soon
