As Japan is a bit far behind in the carp scene but catching up, I have been looking for a good source of food and bait as the choice is very limited and expensive. But I think I have found just what I needed in Ocean Fresh. The bait smells great and seems to have an instant effect. I have had my Strawberry Cream and Scopex Squid and Robin Red boilies for a week, and done three short sessions on my local river maximum of 5 hours and I’ve caught a 21lb common on Scopex Squid and Robin Red to back that up I’ve also had 17.8lb on Strawberry Cream and two other doubles and a single.

I have been fishing an inlet from the rice fields as it enters the river. The water is about 4 ft deep going up to about 1 1/2 ft. I also prebait with pellets during the day and started the session about 5 or 6pm and fish until about 10 or 11pm the same night.

My rigs are made of a korda Teflon hooks a 7-8inch snake skin coated hook link and a 3 ounce lead with solar rig tubing of the same length.
