HI THERE TO THE OCEAN TEAM

I'm reporting my 1st 20lb 4oz common using SSRR

It started when I got up on Saturday morning looked out the window to find it hadn’t snowed any more through the night so I got my gear sorted and loaded the car thinking I'm mad. My car temp read -3 lol!  So I stopped at the tackle shop for some gas for my heater a must for this time of the year. When I got to the lake to my surprise there wasn't any one there. So I had the pick of lake. My 1st pick was a swim in the corner but when I got there most of it was frozen so I walked to the middle swim. On this lake it has a jetty so I could get the rods further out from the bank keeping the rods high from the ice. Traps are set using 15mm Scopex Squid & Robin Red on a size 10 korda hook on 9" supernatural hook link and 1.5oz lead. At about 1ish my right hand rod just steamed off this was my close rod at 40 yards.

The fight was on taking line then bumping the rod tip I knew then it ant the monster I'm looking for but still very welcome on this cold day. It wasn’t long before a common was going into the net it went on the scales at 20lb 4oz common. This was my only fish in the 24hr I was there.

SO THANKS TO THE OCEAN TEAM
