Two nights on CAPs water produced with CFM

This month was a lot easier to get out as it was the half term, meaning a week off college. I took this opportunity to do 2 nights on my local C.A.P.S. water pebmarsh, when we arrived in the morning it was pretty cold and was very busy but having 60 pegs on it you always have space to fish. Me and my mate always favour the furthest swim away (60) which is about a 1.5 mile walk, this is the swim next to the nature reserve which hold s most of the fish.

I scattered a few of your Catfood fish & meat boilies out in a little cove in between two trees where the previous trip I had 3 fish in one night from, also scattered a few underneath a big overhanging willow along the tree line to my right - this was going to be left overnight until the following morning.

After a blank night for the both of us we decided to reel in and go and have a look around, a lad on goose point (51) had had a 20lb and a 14lb the night before and was packing up. After returning and having a recast (under the willow) we sat wondering which would be the best move for our next night, around 3 o'clock we decided to move to goose point.

By the time we had moved and setup it was about 5 and was starting to get dark so out went a scattering of the boilies over the stream bed where I had seen 2 fish crash while setting up to get them down and feeding, and the other rod with a single pop-up on went a few rod lengths up the stream bed. The rod with the Catfood fish & meat boilie screamed off around half 6 in the morning which resulted in a LOVELY 20.6lb mirror which I was well chuffed with after the move, the rest of the day was uneventful, even though we would of liked to of stayed another night we both had work the next day.
