Cracking syndicate carp on RSG

Down my syndicate it has been fishing really slow lately due to the weather being up and down and the fish spawning. However the fish have finished and the lake is starting to pick up. I fished for a quick overnighter. When I turned up to the lake there were a lot of fish in the shallow water in front of peg 17. It is a swim in a little bay with a little island to the right and the depth is 2-3 ft in front, and the far margins are 30 yards across. The fish travel in-between the island and the far margin through the middle of the channel so I placed a 3 bait stringer with 2, 15mm RSG and 1, 18mm RSG with an 18mm on the hair tipped off with a bit of artificial corn for some colour. I flicked it onto a nice hard spot in the middle of the channel for any patrolling fish. The left hand rod went to the left of the swim in about 4ft of water but still in line with the channel. At 1 o’clock in the night I had a blistering take on my right hand rod and I picked the rod up and the fish kited left. It put up a good fight due to the shallow water in front, 10 mins later it was safely in the confines of my net.

I saw that it was going to be pushing just 20, I got everything ready and went round to tell dad that I have got a twenty, however I hadn't weighed it yet. On the scales she went 20lb 10oz. A lovely looking fish and my 6th fish out of my new syndicate and it is my 2nd twenty out of there at the moment.

Good luck
