Fishing the reserve twice a week for two three hours sessions.

"Rod rest in the shallow parts of the lake"

I first found this lake four weeks ago it was a fifteen minute walk from the car and through the woods and landscape you come to lovely water hidden from the trees.

The early mornings are one if not the best time for me to catch a big carp and with so many instant results recently I was confident.

"The first fish came out at 10am time"

I fished by feeding a few hands of Tutti Megafish 15mm boilies and used matching Pop-up on a shot rig over the top. From the beginning I planned two shorts sessions twice a week on this water and I quickly found out that the most productive time to get a take was between 10am and 1pm and then the lake was quite with no action at all.

"The day clearing up"

The lake was all mine and I could place my rods where ever I wanted by moving the positions of my bank sticks. Bank sticks are much better for roaming the water and placing your rods over wider spread of water searching for the carp around the lake.

"Shallow Lake I wadded out for the cast"

The lake was very shallow I parts so mostly I wadded out in to the lake cast from the drop off or where it was getting deep and then opened the bait runner and let out line out as I put my rods bank on the bank stick which were also in the water far from the bank. If I cast from the bank my rigs would still be in shallow water, this wasn’t the place to fish on this lake. On some day’s we fished through bad weather sticking to the scheduled productive times.

The sunny days gave the best results, all fish fell to this bait very fast and I know they have never seen it before.

"The big one fell to me just like the others"

This fish and all the lake action came between ten and one in the afternoon it seemed only in these hours we could only get a bite. So we planed to get here just before, set up and fish and then pack up after 1pm with a carp or not. Soon a pattern was happening where the carp instantly recognized the bait when it entered the water and I was into the bigger fish quickly.

Tutti Megafish produces fish like these, all you needed on these occasions was only a few hands of boilies and a pop-up rig, and they needed nothing more!
